Friday Finds 10/8/21

by Courtney Schultz

Happy Friday, friends and TGIF! As I start to wake up the blog and hope to post with more consistency, I also wanted to have a regular weekly spot for all of the random things I find and love in a week. This could be anything from fashion to home hacks to new books to a must-have beauty product. Anything goes! Always a sucker for an alliteration, Friday Finds is born!

My goal is to post one of these collages weekly on Fridays and you can always check my shop in the Like to Know It app, or right here on the blog. Both spots will get you the goods, we’ll just go a little more in depth here on the blog.

For our first Friday Finds, I have a good mix of products shown. First, I found these faux leather placemats a few weeks ago and fell in LOVE. I hesitated to include them because I did notice they were having some supply shortages, but they’re worth the wait in my opinion, AND they have plenty of color options so you can grab an available set. They’re totally wipeable which was a must for my messy family and the material looks so chic. I went with black but also love the brown, buff and taupe (honestly I love them all). $16 for a set of 4 and I bought 3 sets so I could use them at my larger dining table as well.

My second item is new but purchased because I have another pair that I L-O-V-E. My trusty Vejas. Stockton and I both wear Vejas and I truly love them. They’re a little pricier than your average sneaker but less expensive than some of the other big name designer options and I think they’re just as chic and very comfortable. I sized up to a EU40 (I’m a US 9 typically) and they are perfect. Plan to wear them all fall with a neutral capsule of black, white and tan clothing. Perfection.

While we are on the topic of shoes, I have to mention these insane Jenni Kayne dupes I found. The original shearling mules that caught my eye costs $395, and the dupe I found is only $39 and I swear it’s just as gorgeous. Available in black or tan (I grabbed tan) and you can wear these cuties all Fall and Winter long.

The next Friday Find is something I know we will be playing ALL WEEKEND LONG. I should have honestly bought a few of them so our family could play in multiple groups because I know this is going to be one that everybody loves. My kids are obsessed with these fidget poppers so when I saw that there is a fidget popper GAME, I couldn’t press Add To Cart fast enough. This would be PERFECT for travel too (just stick it inside one of the zippered bags I talked about during my 12 Days of Organization on instagram). Our youngest is almost 3 and I think even she will be able to play this game with some counting help from an older sibling, so it’s truly great for the whole family. I’m sure you could make it even trickier by making it a math game for the older kids (ya know, if you’re into that sort of thing 😜).

The last thing that I got this week is this Anine Bing baseball cap which, like everything else, I absolutely adore. I’ve had my eye on this brand for a while since it’s become quite the internet fashion sensation, and I love that this hat is chic and stylish but didn’t break the bank (I am embarrassed to say that the custom EDDIES hat I had made at Lids for my kids’ football games cost more than this designer hat… 😐). A designer piece that will uplevel any casual outfit for right around $50. Sign me up. (I got black which is currently sold out, but linking the camel here which is just as versatile and I like just as much!).

Hope you loved this Friday Finds post! Let me know if you decide to snag anything, and have a wonderful weekend 🤍
