Valentine’s Day Bottle Brush Decor

by Courtney Schultz

Do you ever get caught in a fog between holidays and not know what to decorate for??

Same.

I was staring blankly at my still-decorated-for-Christmas dining table the other day and feeling just very caught in the middle of the winter doldrums and not feeling particularly excited about evergreens and sugared pears anymore. Don’t get me wrong, our Christmas tablescape was lovely and classic, but by late January, I was sick of looking at it. Especially considering Covid had me decorating for Christmas right after the clock struck midnight on November 1.

By now, I’m looking for something fresh, but in no way am I looking to spend fresh dollar bills on Valentine’s decor, so I decided to head back into the recesses of my storage room and dig (back) out my bottle brush trees. Enter all the pinks, reds and white that I had, and a pretty cute Valentine’s Day tablescape they make!

I know I’m not the only one who fell head over heels for the ombre bottle brush tree trend around the holidays, so if you, too, have a slew of colorful brush trees and live in a wintry climate, by all means, BUST THOSE BABIES BACK OUT!

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, I have a few sweet gifts up my sleeves for my kiddos but am being extremely mindful of intentionality this year. The kids are getting 3 simple but thoughtful gifts: a pair of valentines jammies, some candy (of course), and a personalized chatbook just for them. My kids LOVE looking at pictures from past events and memories. I truly thing they will cherish having a book full of just photos of them and their mom + dad, AND BONUS, a chatbook is a welcomed memory book and not just another useless stuffed teddy bear. #winwin

Happy early V-day! What are you giving to your kids for Valentine’s Day? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
