Warm Weather Looks

by Courtney Schultz

All this snow outside my window is beautiful, but has me dreaming of headed somewhere WARM! Luckily, I have 70’s in my future as we head to Phoenix next week to visit Stockton’s family and spend some time at a golf tournament. Here are some of the outfits I’m looking to throw in my carryon for our quick out & back trip.

TRAVEL DAY

A cozy jumpsuit, crossbody belt bag and sneakers are a perfect travel outfit. Throw a jean jacket on to top it all off and you’re comfortable but still put together.

BUMMING AROUND TOWN

Some of our plans involve hanging out in Scottsdale with my sister and her husband. We love to pop into La Grande Orange for breakfast, I am looking forward to stopping in and shopping at The Lifestyled Co. in Arcadia, and we may even hit up Scottsdale Fashion Square if we have time. This casual outfit with the leather jacket (a splurge but good gracious it’s a winner) will be great for heading out when the temps are still slightly cool or early evenings, but gives me the option to ditch the top layer when the midday temps peak.

GOLF SPECTATOR

I have to admit I don’t entirely know how a golf spectator is supposed to dress, but an elevated yet relaxed daytime maxi skirt seems to be a safe option! This entire outfit is full of great bargains, from the $10 bodysuit to the $29 skirt available in many colors. Not pictured but also linked are a new pair of black strappy jelly sandals that are too cute and under $20! The jean jacket from my travel day will come in handy without adding too many layering pieces to my suitcase (think: capsule!).

DINNER OUT

One of our favorite hot spots for dinner is Toca Madera, so we’ll be dining there on our first night. Amazing food and the coolest cocktails you’ve ever seen (last time, my cocktail came out ON FIRE). A dressier outfit will do just fine for that evening and I am still in love with this Reformation dress I snagged last Summer. Available in different colors and patterns now, but I did find my exact pattern in plus sizes!

So there you have it! Whether you’re heading to warmer temps soon or just planning ahead while you wait out the Winter Storm, here are my current top picks for transitioning into vacation mode. Happy shopping!
