Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020

by Courtney Schultz

Nothing brings me out of shopping hibernation quite like the annual #nsale. Anybody else out there an annual shopper? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I must confess my Nordstrom notes are usually burning a little bit more of a hole in my pocket during the sale than they are this year, BUT I still have some great items on my wish list, and with a sale this big, I enjoy seeing EVERYONE’S finds (believe me… it is a TON to dig through).

My typical heavy hitters during the NSale are kids clothes for back to school, winter coats, beauty and basics. Since school is such an unknown at the moment, I’m not terribly excited about buying back to school clothes, so I’m not focusing a whole lot on that category this year. HOWEVER, beauty is as much of an item of interest to me as ever, and this is a great time to purchase some beauty tools and sets (I bought the dermaflash last year in the sale and to date, it’s my favorite facial tool).

I know you’ve got a million other bloggers out there sharing their lists with you, so in an effort to keep it short and sweet, here are my top picks for this year’s NSale!

SHOES

  • Adidas Swift Run Sneakers // so basic, but I’ve worn these for years and I would love a plain black pair to wear with leather leggings, a baggy sweater and wool coat in the fall.
  • Ugg Slippers // grabbing these for the lake house!!
  • Nike Air Max 270 // these are super sweet looking sneaks. Since I’m wearing sneakers about 75% of the time, I’m all about having options.
  • Snakeskin Maya Mule // I own these already and they go with absolutely everything. A perfect staple that you NEED – you’ll thank me later.
  • Veja 3-Lock Sneaker // I may be the last to the Veja game, but something draws me to these velcro ones… maybe it reminds me of my toddler and that’s why I like them 🤣
  • Natasha Water Resistant Boot // a splurge for certain but dang I love this look. Again, back to leather leggings and an oversized sweater?? Or boyfriend jeans?? I think I’m digging these.

BEAUTY

  • Dermaflash // kicking off the list with last year’s favorite item. Remove peach fuzz, exfoliate rough patches and feel facial fresh after this treatment once a week or so.
  • Light Stim for Wrinkles // this looks compelling! The most negative review I can find is that it is relatively time consuming to use. I don’t mind hunkering down to watch Masterclass or Netflix with this bad boy if it means a smoother face, though, so I’ll definitely be purchasing this.
  • Slip Hair Ties // I know… this seems a little ridiculous for hair ties. But I sleep on the Slip pillowcase (linked next) and have lately been braiding my hair with my Olaplex oil before bed and using these hair ties to secure it. They don’t snag or tangle and they’re extremely gentle on all hair types, but especially fine and brittle hair like mine. A worthy splurge IMO.
  • Slip Pillow Cases // good for hair, good for face, and a fresh cold pillow all the time. Stockton and I BOTH sleep on these pillowcases and love them. Grabbing this set for the lake!
  • Olaplex Trio // I use the No. 3 product weekly, but I have yet to try the shampoo and conditioner – hear great things about both so I’m excited to try more of the Olaplex line!

CLOTHING

  • Moonlight Dreams Pajamas // honestly, can this just be my back to school shopping? I mean with the way things are looking, it might be… I’ll take one in every color please.
  • Double Face Wool Coat // OK, I searched all winter last year for one of these. Is this one perfect? I wouldn’t say that… I would love if it were longer and had at least 2 buttons. But it is dang close, and for the price, I’ll take it!
  • Plaid Boyfriend Jacket // OK, my girlfriend got a plaid blazer stuck in my head and I can’t get it unstuck. Can I pull this off? Probably not… Will I try anyway? You betcha.
  • Simple Leopard Print Suede Tote // I adore Clare V. and this tote is no exception. Perfect for work or kid stuff, and so chic to boot.
  • Hanky Panky // a little beneath the belt 😏 but these are such a cult favorite, and the NSale is a great time to stock up at a discount. Grab ’em in a whole rainbow of colors.

Honestly, that’s all she wrote! Like I said, I’m not going crazy this year and I didn’t want to do too much personal shopping for YOU all, but I did want to show you what had caught my eye. What are you shopping this year? I would love to see what you snag. Hit me up on Instagram and let’s connect!

Happy shopping!
